Who am I as a counsellor?

menu

I am a BACP Accredited counsellor/psychotherapist. I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (my core training) and have subesquently completed trainings in Person-Centred Counselling for Depression (a NICE approved modality for the NHS) and Internal Family Systems therapy (by the UK Internal Family Systems Institute).

I am committed to working within the BACP’s ethical framework for good practice to ensure you receive the good quality counselling you deserve. Amongst other things, this means:

  • Confidentiality underpins my practice
  • I am properly supervised
  • I have professional indemnity insurance to work as a counsellor

My approach to counselling draws from a range of therapeutic models and upon my own learning in therapy and supervision. The main theories that underpin my work are Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems therapy. The core of my practice is the relationship with my clients, I work with the person present with me rather than focus on any theory.
